Event Details

You are cordially invited to participate in first and only live auction of artistic experiences ever held in Washington!  Support DC’s most alternative and cutting edge arts organization not by buying art, but by experiencing it.

The Experience Auction provides a unique opportunity for participants to bid on art experiences rather than static works of art. Musicians, filmmakers, artists, actors, chefs, and a host of other brave and extravagant donors have created an array of one-of-a-kind, behind-the-scenes, and not-to-be-repeated creative experiences. Each and every experience will be genuine, exciting, and valuable beyond any measure.

Interested in a private tour of a famous DC Jazz library, or maybe a day-long residency at internationally renowned director Robert Wilson’s Watermill studio? Perhaps you would like to have a prominent DC filmmaker create an abstract video about your life, or have a private in-studio meeting with Sam Gilliam, one of DC’s most famous artists? How about a one-on-one meeting with DC art collectors for guidance on collecting, framing, hanging and documenting precious works of art?  Would you like Albert Einstein to personally visit your cocktail party or your kid’s school? All these experiences and more will be available at this exciting and novel event. Don't miss this memorable and fun evening.

The Experience Auction will unfold on Thursday, May 12, from 7 – 10 pm in the Club and Ballroom of the historic Kennedy-Warren building. Your emcee for the evening will be the inimitable Dody DiSanto and your live auctioneer the irascible Mr. B. Stanley. There will be cool music, light hors d’oeuvres, live performances, a silent and live auction and a cash bar. Valet parking will be available.

There are a limited number of tickets available, so do not dawdle. To peruse the experiences up for bid and get more information go to:
